Relationship between flake ice machine output and ambient temperature
The output of a flake ice machine is the total weight in 24 hours of operation, e.g. a daily output of 10 tonnes of flake ice machine means that it runs for 24 hours and produces 10 tonnes of ice flakes. However, the daily output can fluctuate, for example, in summer it may produce less and in winter it will produce more. During the day, the production may be less, while at night it may be more. This is normal and is not a failure of the ice machine. There is a close relationship between the output of a flake ice machine and the ambient temperature, which can affect the output.
I. Standard working conditions
The standard working condition is the ambient temperature of 25 degrees, the water temperature of 18 degrees, which is the standard working condition when the ice refrigeration industry design. Whether it is a compressor, air conditioning, chillers, ice machines have national standard working conditions. This is not set by a particular manufacturer, but is the industry standard.
The output of a flake ice machine is a 24-hour production run at standard operating conditions. The actual environment in which customers use them varies greatly, so production will naturally fluctuate, with the ambient temperature having the greatest impact on production.

The higher the ambient temperature, the lower the output, and the higher the inlet water temperature, the lower the output.
The lower the ambient temperature, the higher the output, the lower the temperature of the inlet water, the higher the output.
In the case of large air-cooled flake ice machines, it is recommended that the ambient condenser be installed outdoors, and for small flake ice machines, it should be installed in a well-ventilated site.
